[edit] Notability evidence

Awards: 2003/2006 Ballinglen Foundation Fellow 2005 Visual Arts Award, Galway City Council 1990 Rome Award in Painting, British School of Rome 1997/2000/01 Aer Lingus/Art Flights Award (Arts Council) 1998 Visual Arts Bursary, The Arts Coucil of Ireland 1997 Cultural Relations Committee, Travel Award 1995 Materials Documentation Grant, The Arts Council of Ireland 1996/97/98/99 Studio Assistance Award, The Arts Council of Ireland —Preceding unsigned comment added by RiverHockey (talkcontribs) 20:46, 1 February 2008

Travel grants etc don't establish notability -- there are plenty of non-notable people who get grants of that sort.
As to the British school of Rome, google shows no mention of Banahan on the BSR's website. I don;t know the significance of the other awards, but if they are as important as you say, why is there no substantive coverage of him, per WP:BIO? And why are these awards listed only on his own website? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
The Awards were taken from this link. Anyway, I don't care that much anymore, but there are plenty of less notable articles than he. -RiverHockey (talk) 15:58, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
