[edit] Korean name

I'm wondering if the Korean name listed here is a Korean translation of her name or a separate Korean name given to her by her parents. I know her parents are Korean. Should this be clarified? Crunch 01:46, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

The Korean name listed in this article is literally Kim Cho Rong, her birth name. The family name Kim is of course listed first. You'll note that a few of the other Korean born LPGA members use English names, although most do not. Probably a matter of personal preference. I find it useful to have the Korean name available in Wikipedia. You can use the Korean characters with Google (assuming you have Korean language support on your computer) to find Korean articles about Christina, and photos. Translation websites will get you the text, more or less. The Korean name is thus useful for research. Should it be clarified that it's Christina's Korean name? That's up to you.
