Talk:Christina Cock

Why is this person even in the Wikipedia? I see no need for this entry. (172.140.103.138 21:59, 19 August 2005 (UTC)). But if you're going to be using this, you can "disambiguate" this Christina Cock by listing her as "Christina Cock" (pioneer). I see no need to "pipe" the "Christina Cock" from Australia as (supercentenarian). What makes "pioneer" more important? We're not talking about Verazzano here; we're not even talking about a governor. We're talking about a mere settler, one of many. Yet how many Australians have lived to age 114? ONE. And that's out of 20+ million people living, plus all those who have died. Also, someone "blanked" the Christina Cock article from Australia. If you want to play dirty, you can expect others to respond similarly. 172.140.103.138 21:59, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
Mr. Claire de Lune,
Let me point out that there was a "Christina Cock" article on the supercentenarian BEFORE the article was deleted and hijacked by some Swedish person, who used the name for an obscure and unimportant settler (SEEMED TO BE MORE OF A FAMILY GENEALOGY THAN AN ENCYCLOPAEDIC ARTICLE). Though this person deleted almost everything (including the copy/pasted obituary), they forgot to delete the "external link" which linked NOT to the Swedish pioneer but to the Australian woman. Evidence of a "wikicrime."
For resolution, the disambiguation page suggests that "piping" is not the answer. But if someone wants to "pipe" to make sure there are two pages, then why not "Christina Cock" (pioneer) and "Christina Cock" (supercentenarian), NOT "Christina Cock (supercentenarian)": her name was not "supercentenarian." 172.140.103.138 22:23, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
