This paragraph-long article has only one link to it, and its the anime the character is featured in. If he's that important to the anime, just write about him there! ~ FriedMilk 14:27, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. It's appropriate to have articles for individual cartoon characters, and shuffling off information particular to those characters keeps the main articles from getting too unwieldy. Postdlf 16:33 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Cribcage 20:55, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • I don't know the series, but main article seems to indicate he's a minor character. If that's incorrect, both articles need revision. Otherwise delete. Cribcage 22:34, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. He's encyclopedic, has his own toys. Major character in a very popular series. Notable for being the first regular human character in the various Sonic media, to be a hero-type.Rhymeless 21:51, 18 Apr 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. We have pages for minor characters from EVERYTHING, so why not SonicX. Good old "Wikipedia is not paper" argument. Pteron 04:16, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
    • The main article is currently just a collection of links. All it has is a 2 paragraph lead and a list of characters. Most of the articles it links to have little to say about the show. Would it be too radical to discuss their role on the show in the article on it? ~ FriedMilk 07:51, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Friends

Are you sure Chris become friends with bokkun, I thought it was Decoe and Bocoe he befriended? Delsait

[edit] Fandom

The line, "...without angering fans..." is not exactly true. Some people still dislike him. Also, I wrote something like, "Many people believe Chris is involved in yaoi with Sonic. This is untrue, but he may have romantic feelings toward his classmate, Helen." What's wrong with it? It's true, and if you don't like the bit about the possible romantic feelings toward Helen, you could get rid of it. But people do think Sonic and Chris are in yaoi, even though it's not true. This can be proven, cause there are clubs for the couple, fanfictions about the couples, and many others. --anon

If you allow that, why not allow "Critical Reception" which talks about how everybody hates Chris, but POLITELY. Besides, it's true. Chris is a scene-stealing little goit. 86.17.163.37 19:49, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Yep, he is. I post on a Sonic X forum and many of my friends like Sonic X and I can tell you, few people like him. He's clingy, wimpy, and steals way too much of the spotlight. A lot of people even say he ruins the show. --Guest

I don't get why everyone hates Chris. I've watched the anime all the way through and to tell the truth, Chris is one of my favorite characters from the show. He's not afraid to help Sonic, he's witty and funny at times, and I just love seeing the two together as friends. Chris is by far one of the best human characters they ever added to Sonic X. --sonicmaster1223

I agree with SonicMaster.

He has no business being in the show, he's too "heroic" for a stupid little goofy looking kid, he steals too much spotlight from characters ACTUALLY IN THE GAME, and very very very few people like him. The only time he didn't annoy me was in Series 2. And even then he annoyed me because he was an adult at the beginning AND STILL HAD A CRUSH ON SONIC! And then the oppertunity to pair Sonic and Shadow together came once again, and that stupid Chris (for reasons beyond me) was chosen to go with Eggmans team. I can't stand that little fart. The show is about Sonic, not a dorky kid named Chris. The spotlight should revolve around the classic 3: Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. instead it revolves around a love story between Sonic and Chris. Ugh. -Guest again

Well, Chris is no where near annoying as Ash from Pokemon or Tiff and Tuff from Kirby. - B.J.

If you guys can't show love for Chris, then I doubt your TRUE Sonic the Hedgehog fans. I still think Chris is a great person for Sonic to have as a friend. And do you guys expect SEGA to make the anime EXACTLY like the games?! That'd be so freaking BORING if they did things EXACTLY like the games! And the only reason Chris is "heroic" is because he is always willing to help Sonic over come any obstacle like a REAL friend should. And I have not seen ONE time that Chris stole anyone's spotlight! Sheesh! I haven't read more distasteful things about Sonic characters since you guys started complaining that Sonic's voice actors from Sonic X became the official voices of the characters! Just give it a rest! And stop picking on Chris! --sonicmaster1223

So, disliking an original character who has nothing to do with the game series at all keeps me from being a true Sonic fan? Thats really ass backwards logic. I am a true Sonic fan simply for watching a crappy series like Sonic X. My love for the Sonic series has me watching some of the corniest of his shows. The two of the top of my head being Sonic X and the old Sonic SATAM shows. I've played all the Sonic games apart from Secret Rings (which doesn't appeal to me at all) so don't tell me I'm not a "true sonic fan". No one ever said it should be exactly like the games and that is fine, because it isn't. Whats the name of the series? It's "Sonic X" not "Chris X". In the first Season, far too often Chris was on the center of the stage. That's bull. Anyone who says he isn't stealing the spotlight needs to open their eyes. The whole first Season pretty much revolves around Chris. It isn't until later the spotlight shines away from him. It's the prime reason I like Season 2 so much. Chris even has entire episodes revolve around him in the first Season. Techno Teacher (What a horrible episode that was) is a good example. Party Hardly was also a good example although that was also centering around Cream as well. Hell, there was some dude who wore shades that had the odd ability to shine at random stalking CHRIS instead of SONIC. What the hell, it's obvious it was Sonic he was interested in, yet this weird pedophile kept spying on CHRIS and pretty much igoring SONIC! LULZ! Also, please PLEASE do not call Chris a "Sonic Character". Show me one game with Chris in it. JUST ONE! Any character who has not appeared in the games cannot possibly be a "Sonic Character". Seeing as how you claimed him to be a "Sonic character" I have no choice but to assume you're a Chris fanboy/fangirl. Now that is just sickening... If you wanna like him, fine. I don't care. But don't start saying absurd garbage like "TRUE FANS WUV CHRIS!11!!1". Thats just silly. -Guest for the 3rd time.

[edit] Age

It says he is 18, are they meaning in the second series or in the first, because I understand he was probably around 18 since 6 years had passed in the second series, but in the first he has to be just 10 or 11. I just don't wnat anyone to be confused Mew Mitsuki (talk) 20:37, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
