Talk:Chris Gough
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I started this page because I was repeatedly coming across Chris Gough in connection with music on Australian and New Zealand films. These days, soundtracks are big business with licences for big names being used on a film costing thousands of dollars. I consider someone who has been directly involved with the music of significant Australian and New Zealand films for some years to be of sufficient importance to warrant an entry on Wikipedia.
In addition, Chris Gough has been involved with Platinum Studios in Melbourne where Australian artists such as Crowded House and Hunters & Collectors have recorded. He has managed Schnell Fenster, one of Phil Judd's bands. Phil Judd is of importance in Australasian music.
Chris Gough may not have many results from a search in Google or have much in the way of web pages with information about him, but neither does Ross Burge, former drummer with the Mutton Birds, but he is frequently asked to play on albums recorded by New Zealand artists.
When musicians become famous, it is with the help of people who are not so well known (Brian Epstein being an exception?), such as Chris Gough, working to promote their music.
So I do not agree with this article being deleted! Kylenano 16:34, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- Anyone with that much on an IMDB page deserved a Wikipedia page in my opinion. (I don't (technically) have any real authority to remove a 'db' tag, but I wanted to a least voice my support for this article being kept.) Utopianheaven 13:03, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
