The cobalt milkweed beetle (also called the blue milkweed beetle), Chrysochus cobaltinus, is found in the western United States and British Columbia. The adult beetles feed on Apocynum species and milkweed. These beetles are known to hybridize with Chrysochus auratus in the areas where they overlap.
