Electricity arrived in the same year. [edit] History

The village used to have a large population before the beginning of the 20th century. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, the population began to decline as residents moved to larger towns and cities and outside of Greece. One exception was that the population slightly grew between 1991 and 2001.

Chrousa was plundered by the country's enormous fire on Saturday August 25, 2007 and burnt about 80 to 90% of the area in flames, several farms were ruined. The fire lasted for several hours and ended a day later on Sunday August 26 as flames entered to the northeast in Choremi. Residents and firefighters battled the flames along with a few choppers and airplanes that also took part in battling the flames. All of its roads were closed, electricity were cut off and communications were deconnected.

[edit] Other
