This article provides a chronology of events that occur in the HBO/BBC2 original television series, Rome, and historical events which would have affected the events depicted in the series, not all of which were explicitly mentioned.

Pre-52 BCE   ! 54 BCE:Julia - Caesar's daughter, and wife of Pompey - dies in childbirth, years before her death depicted in The Stolen Eagle. ! 54 BCE:Octavia Minor (factual basis of Octavia of the Julii) marries Gaius Claudius Marcellus Minor, who she will be married to until his death in 40 BCE, bearing him children in 44 BCE,43 BCE, and 42 BCE - after Caesar's assassination.
