[edit] Role in The Karate Kid, Part III
Critics point to the integral role Snake (Jonathan Avildsen) played in The Karate Kid, Part III, but without Dennis there could be no Snake. With Dennis caring for the training of "Karate's Bad Boy" Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), Snake was free to wreak mayhem throughout the greater Los Angeles area. A veritable jack-of-all-trades, Dennis was equally capable when called upon to haul the portly Daniel (Ralph Macchio) out of Devil's Cauldron, lay waste to shoji screens, or spar with Mike Barnes. Given the technique he showed in the Cobra Kai dojo, one is left to wonder why Dennis was not allowed to enter the All Valley Tournament. Ultimately, among the Cobra Kai camp, it is only Dennis who is left free from blame after Barnes's loss to Daniel.

In 2006, he had his name legally changed to William Christopher Ford, in honor of his late father.
