From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Christopher Ingvaldson (born November 1, 1969 in New Westminster, British Columbia) currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a teacher and former Canadian international field hockey player.

He is a graduate of the prestigious St. George's School and the University of British Columbia. At the age of 14 he began playing field hockey, and at the age of 17, Chris began his 13 year stint on the British Columbia provincial team. From there, he went on to play for Team Canada, but sustained an injury in 1994 which ended his career with the National Team.

Ingvaldson became the head of the Social Studies department at West Point Grey Academy - a Vancouver independent school - where he spent 9 years. Near the end of the 2005-2006 school year, much to the disappointment (but not surprise) of his students, Chris Ingvaldson announced his retirement from West Point Grey Academy. As of September 2006, he is teaching at St. George's School.
