Christopher Dietzen

Christopher Dietzen (born March 8, 1947 in Yakima, Washington) is an Associate Justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Dietzen joined the Minnesota Supreme Court in January of 2008. He was appointed to the court by Governor Tim Pawlenty after the resignation of Justice Sam Hanson. Before joining the Supreme Court, Dietzen served as a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals from 2004-2008. He was likewise appointed to that judgship by Governor Pawlenty, and then elected to it in 2006. Before his career in the judiciary began, Dietzen was a lawyer at the firm of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindren, LTD, of Bloomington, Minnesota, from 1978-2004, and at the firm of Richter, Wimberly, & Ericson in Spokane, Washington from 1973-1977.

Dietzen also served as an attorney for Pawlenty during his gubernatorial campaign in 2002.

Dietzen attended Gonzaga University as an undergraduate and law student. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1969, and his Juris Doctorate in 1973.
