Dahl earned an AB from Harvard College and a PhD in English Literature from Yale University. His dissertation research was on the Victorian periodical.[1] In addition to many scholarly articles, Dahl published a book on author and lawyer Louis Auchincloss, which one reviewer called "the first full-length critique" of Auchincloss's work.[2] Dahl is also the current chair of the Council on Public Liberal Arts Colleges, or COPLAC.[3]
