Christoffer Andersson (born 22 October, 1978 in Nybro) is a Swedish football player, currently playing for Helsingborgs IF.
He has previously played for Nybro IF (-95), Helsingborgs IF (96-03), Lillestrøm S.K. (04-06) and Hannover 96 (06-07). After not leaving up to the expectations at the Bundesliga team, he was released back to Sweden after only a year[1].
His return to Helsingborgs IF in late May 2007 was slightly controversial among the HIF fans, as Andersson, by some, is seen as a traitor after having left the club as a Bosman player in 2003, in a time when the club due to its acute financial situation needed all the money it could get. Andersson's signing for Lillestrøm S.K. was the biggest source of anger, as that club was seen as equal to HIF where the level is concerned. Some fans mean that it was obvious that Andersson left HIF entirely of economical reasons and therefore, they argue that he should not have been taken back. However, the club was in crying need for left-wing players and Andersson, who can be used both as a defender and midfielder will therefore come good at hand at HIF.
Andersson has represented the Swedish national team, but has recently been left out due to lack of match training at Hannover 96.
