From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) is a human rights organization based in New Malden, Surrey, UK specialising in religious freedom. CSW works on behalf of those persecuted for their Christian beliefs and promotes religious liberty for all.

The organization began in 1979 as the UK branch of the Swiss based organization, Christian Solidarity International. It was founded following an inter-denominational march in protest at the imprisonment of Russian Baptist Pastor, Georgi Vins. It adopted the name Christian Solidarity Worldwide in 1997.

There are CSW departments in: England, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and USA.

In addition, a number of organisations (with similar objectives to those of CSW) are official partners of the CSW international network: In Denmark (Dansk Europamission), Norway (Norwegian Mission to the East), France (Justice et Solidarite Mondiales), India (All India Christian Council), Burkina Faso, and Sri Lanka.
