Christian Ludwig II, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin

Christian Ludwig II (15 May 168330 May 1756) was the Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin from 1747 to 1756.

He was the son of Friedrich I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Christine Wilhelime, princess of Hesse-Homburg. In 1714 he married Gustave Caroline of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, and had five children :

His court included Johann Gottfried Müthel as organist and cembalist and Konrad Ekhof as comedian.
