[edit] Early life

Kane was born in Dallas, Texas. Although born in Texas, his family moved around the South and Midwest before finally settling in Norman, Oklahoma. While studying Art History at the University of Oklahoma, Christian caught the acting bug and left before finishing the degree. He headed for Los Angeles with his old pickup truck and few hundred dollars to pursue the career of his dreams. He has a scar on his upper lip from an injury he received while filming Secondhand Lions. He has never had any formal acting training.[citation needed]

[edit] Career

[edit] Acting

Starting out in the mailroom of a talent agency, his first acting role was in the 1997 TV series, Fame L.A.. The breakthrough year for Kane, though, was 1999. He was first involved in two projects; Rescue 77, a short lived television series, and the film Edtv. Then Kane landed the role of Wolfram & Hart lawyer Lindsey McDonald on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel. His run on the show would prove to be a good one, appearing as a recurring character in three of the five seasons. In the Carrie Underwood music video "So Small", Kane was featured as well playing the role of one of the three converging stories. Kane recently played the lead role of Billy in the psychological thriller, "Hide," to be released in early 2008.

[edit] Musical

His band, KANE, once described as a mix of country, rock and rockabilly,[1] has appeared at L.A. nightclubs such as The Viper Room and The Mint,[2] and toured the U.S., as well as London and Germany. The band has released two CDs; their eponymous debut, and a live acoustic set recorded in London. They also have a MySpace page where their fans can keep up-to-date on their activities.[3] Though KANE (the band) is considered country, the vocal style of Kane (the singer) is more strong and soulful than gritty or twangy.[4]

Kane is currently writing and recording an album for Columbia Records Nashville for an early 2008 release.

Returning to the genre that made him recognizable, Kane is set to play Michael in the horror thriller Death Walks the Streets, as well as being a co-executive producer on the film. The film will center around an ex-con, Michael, who is released from prison and drawn back into "the Organization," which is made up of vampires, zombies, demons and other iconic supernatural creatures.
