Christian Heritage Church or CHC is a megachurch in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2001, CHC claimed about 400 members. After the arrival of the new Pastor, in August 2001, Dr. Richard N. Ledford II, the church membership increased to over 4,000 in a period of 5 years. CHC is part of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church denomination. CHC is an evangelical/charismatic church featuring upbeat praise and worship music and several charismatic pastors who deliver a message each Wednesday evening and Sunday morning. CHC has a very diverse congregation with a mix of all races from various socio-economic backgrounds. CHC has a college ministry called CYP - College and Young Professionals and a Youth Ministry, called Remix.TheNoise - Student Ministries. Pastors Scott & Niki Kilgore lead the CYP Ministry and Pastor Todd Jackson and Pastor Marshall Ochs lead the Youth Ministry. There is a ministry for younger students in Elementary School called KidPower. This Ministry is led by Pastor R.C. Tucker. "Kids for Christ" is the ministry for children aged 4-5 years, led by Pastor Pizza. Also, Pastor Michael Smith leads the couples' ministry called 'Club Marriage'. Over 5,000 people call CHC their church home.
Christian Heritage Church once had an onsite daycare and pre-school program called 'Heritage Preparatory Academy' which was closed in May 2008. There is a bible college called 'Covenant Bible College and Seminary'. The church occupies an 80,000-sq ft building that used to be Waccamaw Homeplace Store in what used to be called the Sugar Creek Plaza, but is now called Heritage Plaza. CHC claims to be an ever-growing ministry seeking to continue its outreach and influence in the Tallahassee community and State Capital Region.
