Christian Grindheim (born July 17, 1983) is a midfielder who is playing in the football club SC Heerenveen. His former clubs are Vålerenga Fotball, Haugesund and Haugar. Grindheim is a young and talented player and has been known for his precise and hard shots, and is playing center midfielder for the Norwegian national team under the current coach Åge Hareide.

Christian Grindheim was a hot name on the pre-season market after his club having fought in the bottom of the Norwegian 1. division. But the young Haugesund captain was believed to have a poor radius of action, and was considered too "light" for clubs that were otherwise interested. However, both Vålerenga and Viking F.K. offered Grindheim a contract. He ended up choosing the Oslo-based Vålerenga.

Under Vålerenga coach Kjetil Rekdal, Grindheim has grown to be a more complete midfielder with greater defensive efforts. He has shown great eye for the game and goalscoring abilities in addition to his everpresent "teamplayer" character. Grindheim is now considered one of Norway's future international stars and it has been reported Manchester City have expressed an interest in signing the talented midfielder in the January 2008 transfer window.

On the 7th of January 2008, Grindheim was transferred to SC Heerenveen.
