Christian Gatley was a fictional character on the British soap opera Coronation Street. Played by Andrew Turner, he first appeared on the show on September 10, 2007 as the long lost son of transsexual character, Hayley Cropper.

[edit] History

Christian is the illegitimate son of transsexual character Hayley Cropper. He ran a record shop on Ashton Road, Manchester called Sound Garden. At first Hayley told Christian that she was his aunt but the lies kept on piling higher and higher, and her husband Roy pressurized her to tell the truth, which she eventually did. When Hayley told Christian that she was not his aunt but in fact his father he went mad, violently lashing out at her and running away.

On 1 October 2007, Becky Granger visited Christian in the record shop and hit him several times as revenge for attacking Hayley. After she controlled her anger, she told him that whilst Hayley probably wasn't what he expected his father to look like, she was great and he was nothing. She made clear to him that whilst he hurt Hayley, she wouldn't want anyone to hurt him back.

Three weeks later it was revealed that Christian had resigned from the record shop and left Manchester.
