Christian European Visual Media Association

The Christian European Visual Media Association (CEVMA) is a group of committed Christians in the fields of film, television, graphic arts and new media. The members aim to support each other in their Christian beliefs and proselytise from within their occupations.

CEVMA was founded in 1981 by Nigel Cooke of England and Kurt Sprenger of Germany. Nigel Cooke has been on the board rather often and Kurt Sprenger has less immediate contact currently. The current board has its leadership in Wolf-Dieter Kretschmer. Other board members include: Malcolm Turner - UK; Rita Quartel - The Netherlands; Crawford Telfer - UK.

CEVMA holds annual conferences in mid-September. The location, within Europe, varies geographically from year to year.The decision on where the venue will be is made by the CEVMA board. The 2005 venue was Hertenstein, Switzerland.

Those who attending the conferences also receive a periodical, CEVMA News.

CEVMA has partners from around the world. Recent participants came from Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas.
