Christian Colbjørnsen

Christian Colbjørnsen (January 29, 1749 – December 17, 1814) was born in Romerike, Norway. Christian Colbjørnsen served as chief justice for the high court (Høyesterett) when it was located in the Danish-Norwegian capital, Copenhagen. He served as the Norwegian chief justice from 1802 until 1814. Once Norway was separated from Denmark, which happened in 1814, it gained its own high court.
