Christchurch East is a New Zealand Parliamentary electorate.

It is currently held by Lianne Dalziel MP[1], of the Labour Party.

The electorate was created in 1996 for MMP, but had previously existed from 1905 to 1946 (when it was replaced by Sydenham); and in the 19th century (1871-75) as Christchurch City East, with Edward Jerningham Wakefield as the member of parliament.
