Christ the King Anglican Church

Christ the King Anglican Church in Birmingham, Alabama is a congregation of the Anglican Mission in the Americas. The church is part of the international communion of Anglican Churches, serving under the oversight of the Anglican Province of Rwanda. Christ the King was planted by St. Peter's Anglican Church in November 2007.[1]

Christ the King meets in Hodges Chapel at Beeson Divinity School on the campus of Samford University.[2]

Dr. Lyle W. Dorsett is the founding pastor of Christ the King. Dorsett, the Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism at Beeson Divinity School, is author of numerous books, and is ordained as a priest in the Anglican church. He formerly served as founding pastor of Church of the Great Shepherd in Wheaton, IL and on the ministry team of St. Peter's Anglican Church in Mt. Brook, Alabama.
