Chris Walter

Chris Walter is a photographer of famous musicians who began working in London in the early 1960s and has been a Music photographer ever since then,[1] amassing a large archive of photographs of some of the world's most well known musicians spanning different music genres, although most prominently rock music. He has photographed The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, James Brown, Scott Walker, Michael Jackson and many others[2].
He initially began the company South London Photo Agency (later The London Photo Agency), co-founded the company London Features in the early 1970s and in 1975 set up his main project, Photofeatures International.[1]
Now resident in California, his photography continues to be used for various purposes, including international publications, television, books, documentaries and album artwork of such artists as The Who, The Doors, Donovan, Scott Walker, Jimi Hendrix[3] and Led Zeppelin.[4] An exhibit of his photographs was shown at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2007.[5]
