Chris Turner (born in Ballymoney, January 3, 1987) is a professional footballer currently playing for Bohemians in the League of Ireland. During the close season he lives in Articlave, County Londonderry, the village where he grew up.
[edit] Club Career
Turner began his career at Derby County but moved to Sligo Rovers under Sean Connor in December 2005. He put in some impressive performances at Sligo in his first season as they finished 5th in the Premier Division and reached the semi final of the FAI Cup. When Connor left Sligo to join Bohemians at the end of that season, he made no secret of his desire to bring Turner with him.
A right back or central midfielder, he eventually signed for Bohs in July 2007, making his debut for the club in the FAI Cup win over Malahide on August 19.
[edit] International Career
Chris has appeared for Northern Ireland at many underage levels and is a regular in the Under 21 side, captaining the side on occasions.
Turner was involved in controversy in late 2007 when a home-made adult video featuring him alongside some of his Northern Ireland Under 21 colleagues and an un-named female was leaked onto the internet.
