Wallace Christopher Smith (born 5 March 1986, in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League club St Mirren.

Smith, a goalkeeper, has progressed through the youth ranks at Love Street. In season 2005-06 Smith picked up two trophies when he helped St Mirren win the Scottish Challenge Cup and the Scottish First Division title.

'Wally' played numerous Premier League games in season 2006-07, but is currently waiting for his chance to regain pole position between the sticks. He is adoringly referred to as 'Smudger' by the Paisley faithful.

He has since signed a contract to keep him at St Mirren until the summer of 2011

Following the departure of Tony Bullock and Craig Hinchcliff, he has become the 1st choice goalkeeper for the Buddies. He is also a regular in the Scotland Under 21 squad, but is unable to see off Jamie McDonald or Ewan McLean to become 1st choice keeper.
