Chris Savard

Chris Savard was the candidate for the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario (Canada) for the riding of Stormont—Dundas—South Glengarry in the 2007 Ontario election.
He was first elected to Cornwall City Council in 1994 at the age of 26. He has run and successfully been elected to City Council three times since 1994.
A tireless community worker, Savard has over the years initiated and supported numerous events and service organizations. He is the Chair and a founding member of Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off, the region’s annual hot air balloon festival. Chris is a member of the Kinsmen Club of Cornwall, Vice Chair of Team Cornwall and has participated in, and chaired, dozens of municipal government committees including Cornwall Waterfront Development of which he is the current Chair.
Actively involved in the local Progressive Conservative Riding Association for many years, Savard has served as both Director and Vice President on the Executive Board and has worked on many events and projects. He is Chair of the annual Noble Villeneuve Golf Classic.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa and currently the General Manager of Cornwall Square, Savard was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario where he continues to live with his wife Shawna and their three children Taylor, Cameron and Cassidy.
