Chris Rolfe (born January 17, 1983 in Kettering, Ohio) is an American soccer striker, who currently plays for Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
Following a stellar interscholastic career at Fairmont High School, Rolfe traveled five miles north on State Route 48 to play college soccer at the University of Dayton. Despite missing most of his final two intercollegiate seasons due to injury, Chris posted some of the best scoring numbers in UD's history. After having played for Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League, he was drafted by the senior team in the third round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft.
After a successful 2005 season with the Fire, leading his team in goals with eight, Rolfe made his debut with the United States men's national soccer team on November 12, 2005 against Scotland at Hampden Park in Glasgow. Chris was once again called to duty on the national soccer team, in January of 2008.
