Christopher Prescott is a professional musician from San Diego, California. He currently plays drums for the band Pinback and plays guitar, keyboard, and does backup vocals for The Jade Shader. He was previously a member of No Knife, Tanner, Fishwife, and Hemlock. In 1998 he toured as the honorary 6th member of Rocket From The Crypt, providing percussion, keyboard, and vocal support. He is also an accomplished jazz drummer, having graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCSD in 2004 with a degree in Jazz Studies .[1]

As a drummer, Prescott is noted for his groove-oriented style. While he does not solo often when playing rock, he provides a solid backbone to his bands.
