[edit] Career

Previously an art major at Youngstown State University, Pavone made his debut in 2001 as a student of Danny Davis and Nick Dinsmore. Within two years, he appeared at the ECWA Super 8 Tournament in April 2003 and began competing in Ohio Valley Wrestling several weeks later.

After forming a brief tag team with Nova, Pavone later teamed up Tank Toland to become the tag team Adrenaline and both went on to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Championships three times during 2003 and 2004. Pavone would later win his first and only OVW Heavyweight Championship from Matt Morgan before losing it a few months later to Chad Toland, the (kayfabe) brother of his tag partner Tank. Cage would later win his fourth and final OVW Tag Team title with newcomer Mike Mizanin while they feuded with the the Toland Brothers and The Throwbacks. However, Cage would be released from his contract due to behavior problems, leaving Mizanin to defend the tag team title belts on his own. Mizanin later lost the tag team title belts to The Throwbacks shortly after.

[edit] Independent circuit and Return appearances in OVW (2006-Current)

After leaving OVW, Pavone toured the U.S. indy circuit, including a one-time appearance in Ring of Honor as Chris Banks. Pavone soon joined Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling but also began making several appearances in OVW despite not being contracted to the WWE anymore and has done so for the most of 2006 and 2007.
