Chris Parkinson

Chris Parkinson is a folk musician from the UK. He is a co-founder of the British folk band The House Band, playing accordion, harmonica, melodeon and keyboards.[1] He has also performed with John Kirkpatrick in the accordion duo, 'The Sultans of Squeeze', who were nominated as 'duo of the year' by the 2006 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.[2][3]

Chris Parkinson has played music since the age of 5, starting with the harmonica. Other instruments he has accomplished include the piano, guitar, concertina, tin whistle, melodeon, piano, accordion and keyboard - and even finds time to play the fiddle.[4]

He has worked with a number of people from the folk scene and beyond, including Ralph McTell, Steve Philips and Billy Connolly[5]

Parkinson's tune Mr Isaac's Maggot appears on the accordion box set Planet Squeezebox.[6]
