Chris Naeole (born December 25, 1974 in Kailua, Hawaii) is an American football player who currently plays guard. He is currently a free agent.

[edit] High School Career

Chris Naeole attended Kahuku High School in Hawaii, and earned two letters in football and one in wrestling. In football, he was an All-America first-team selection by Prep Football Report, second-team accolades from Blue Chip Report, and honorable mention from USA Today as a senior. As a two-way tackle, he made 56 tackles, five sacks, eight passes deflected, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries as a senior. He was also twice named to the school’s honor roll.

He was a three-year starter at the University of Colorado at right guard, allowing only one sack. As a senior in 1996, named All-America first-team, All-Big 12 Conference first-team pick. Naeole was the recipient of the John Mack Award, given to team’s Most Outstanding Offensive Player. He graduated with a degree in sociology and 3.0 G.P.A.

He was drafted in the 1997 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. Chris Naeole was the #10 NFL Draft pick and was personally picked by Coach Mike Ditka. Naeole was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in 2002. In Week 8 of the 2007 season he suffered a torn quadriceps tendon and was placed on injured reserve. On March 3, 2008 he was released by the Jaguars.
