Chris Moore (born Melbourne, Australia) is a football (soccer) defender who currently plays for the English non-league side Welling United. Moore is best-known for scoring Welling's consolation goal in the 2005 FA Cup first-round loss against Huddersfield Town. He has recently taken temporary charge, along with ex-Brighton & Hove Albion star Richard Carpenter, of the struggling Blue Square South league side, following the parting of the ways with ex-manager last week. The immediate fixture list is a tough assignment for any aspiring managers, and indeed is made that bit trickier with recent player departures, but Chris "Mooro" is hoping to galvanise the "Wings" to some inspired performances. His first match in charge, Grays Athletic versus Welling in the Setanta Cup was postponed tonight, allowing The Rock some breathing space before action recommences away in the league at Bishops Stortford this Saturday. Good luck Mooro!
