Chris Mintz

Christopher "Chris" Mintz is a member of the North Carolina Democratic Party. Mintz unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for the North Carolina General Assembly in 2006. He lost to State Representative Ty Harrell in the primary.[1] In 2007, he was briefly a candidate for North Carolina State Treasurer[2][3]

[edit] Education, personal life, and career
A native of North Carolina, Mintz was born in Goldsboro, NC, and remained in Eastern NC for most of his youth. The son of a single mother, he was raied by his gradparents. Growing up in a situation where his mother was forced to choose between grocieries and rent, he learned the value of hard work and the struggles that working people face every day. He moved to Raleigh to attend North Carolina State University. He earned his B.S. in Business Management and went on to become a financial advisor,[4] and is currently President of Mintz Investment Companies in Raleigh. He is married and has three young daughters under the age of five.

On May 6th, 2008 Mintz won the democratic primary for state senate in North Carolina senate district 15.
