Christopher Maguire, born 16th January 1989 in Bellshill, is a professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League club Aberdeen.

Maguire, a young forward, made his first team appearance in season 2005-06, where he set up John Stewart in a 2-2 draw against League Champions Celtic in the last game of the season. He is regarded by many fans as one of the club's best prospects for the future.

His first starting appearance in the senior team was on 26 December 2006 against Kilmarnock where he also scored his first senior goal for the club after 5 minutes. He recently signed a three year contract extension. He has scored some vital goals recently to put Aberdeen into the top 6, he scored a 94th minute header against Inverness CT and a brace against Falkirk in a 2-1 win to put the Dons into the top 6.

On 26 April 2008 he appeared on Soccer AM's Skills School, where two players are picked to demonstrate a variety of skills as they battle against each other in front of their teammates. Chris was chosen as the winner over Callum McRobbie.

Many clubs have been intrested in Maguire including Coventry and QPR and the Dons are currently trying to persuade the youngster to stay.
