This article is about the drummer Chris Kontos; for the Ice hockey player, see Chris Kontos (ice hockey player).

Chris Kontos was born in Cyprus at 29 May 1970.Chris Kontos is best known as the drummer of Machine Head on their first album, Burn My Eyes. He left shortly after recording that album and played in many bands and projects before and after that period of time, including Testament, Konkhra, Attitude Adjustment, Exodus, Verbal Abuse, Custard Pie, Anti Trust, The Servants, Dog Faced Gods, Death Angel, Grinch and with James Murphy.

Currently he is a member of the thrash metal band: Sangre Eterna and stoner rock group Spiralarms.
