Chris Kangars (born August 1, 1989) is an Australian rules football player, recruited at pick 46 in the 2007 AFL Rookie Draft by the Geelong Football Club. He finished year 12 VCE at St Joseph's College, Newtown in 2007. A tall defender, Kangars is a developing player with good leg speed and aerobic capacity. Kangars impressed in negating roles for Vic Country in the NAB AFL U18 Championships during 2007, and was the number one ranked player for the Repeat Sprint Test with a time of 23.59sec at the NAB AFL Draft Camp. Chris believes he will play VFL football for Geelong in 2008 and hopefully get a game in the AFL in 2009.
