Christopher Raymond Jack (born 5 September 1978 in Christchurch) is a New Zealand rugby union footballer who plays as a lock for English club Saracens. Before moving to England, he played for Canterbury and the Tasman Makos in the National Provincial Championship and its successor, the Air New Zealand Cup; the Crusaders in Super 14 (formerly Super 12); and internationally for the All Blacks.
His Test debut for the All Blacks was against Argentina on 23rd June 2001 in Christchurch. With his size and athleticism, he has since established himself as a regular in the All Blacks side, and arguably one of the top locks in the world today.
It was announced on 7 June 2006 that Jack had signed a 2-year contract with the newly formed Tasman Rugby Union. Recently he announced that he would be joining English Premiership side Saracens[1] after the 2007 Rugby World Cup after their successful Guinness Premiership campaign, joining another New Zealand player in Glen Jackson. He is arguably the best player in his position in New Zealand.
Achievements: 2002 New Zealand Rugby Player of the Year
