Chris Fuhrman

Chris Fuhrman (1960 - 1991) is an American author who wrote the novel The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.

Chris Fuhrman was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1960. In 1990, he began to work on his only novel called The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys about a group of fourteen year old kids in 1974 Savannah, Georgia. Shortly before finishing the final draft for the novel, Fuhrman was diagnosed with cancer and died in May 1991 at age 31. His wife published his novel in 1994 and was adapted to a film with the same name in 2002 starring Emile Hirsch. The film was dedicated to Fuhrman.
