Chris Flannery (born 5 June 1980 in Cowra, New South Wales is a professional Rugby league player who plays for St Helens in the European Super League competition.

Flannery has also represented Queensland in the State of Origin on 10 occasions. He previously played for the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League competition.

Flannery's position of choice is at loose-forward. He can also operate as a utility back row forward, at stand-off and also in the centres. [1]

In 2007, Flannery signed for St Helens on a three and a half year deal. He commenced his Knowsley Road career in July, 2007, after recovering from a broken leg. [2] [3]

Chris Flannery was brought in as a direct replacement for fellow Australian Jason Hooper who had to retire following problems with his shoulder. [4]

Flannery describes himself as a hard worker and strong in defence. “I also like to add a bit to the ball playing by taking it up at first or second receiver. I also like to run good lines into holes.” [5]
