Chris Farasopoulos (born July 20, 1949 in Piraeus, Greece) is a former American football player for the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants as a defensive back, punt and kickoff returner. A Brigham Young alumnus, he was selected by the Jets in the 3rd round of the 1971 NFL Draft.
During his collegiate days at BYU, Farasopoulos's kickoff return average of 27.2 yards was a Western Athletic Conference record from (1968-1970) until it was finally broken by Chad Owens with 29.4 yards. In a 1970 game with Brigham Young vs. Utah State College, the game was not decided until Farasopoulos intercepted a pass on the goal line with 11 seconds left (he had two interceptions and 135 return yards in that game).
