Christopher Andrew Egan (born June 29, 1984) is an Australian actor probably best known for playing Nick Smith in the Australian soap opera Home and Away for three years. His middle name, Andrew, is the name of his father.[1]

Egan was born in Sydney, Australia. He has three brothers Tim the eldest, Ben and Joel. His family live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. During his career as an actor, he has appeared in several commercials and even done some modelling but his ability and ambition for acting came when he performed in the Glen Street production of Les Misérables and West Side Story. He has also been trained in singing and dancing and has been part of several Eisteddfods. Chris received part of his training at KICK Performance Group in Sydney.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2003.[2] In 2006, he appeared in the film adaptation of Christopher Paolini's novel Eragon.
