Chris Croucher

Chris Croucher was born in August 1981 in Guildford, Surrey.
He started writing at a very early age and this fascination in story telling led him to study a BA in Film Production (He graduated in 2003).
After graduating he has balanced his writing with a successful career as an assistant director. He has worked on films and shows such as; Sense and Sensibility, Wimbledon, Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Magicians, Brick Lane and 28 Weeks Later.
His first script I Am Tyler Marks was given a development from Screen South and the UK Film Council in 2005.
More recently Chris completed several other scripts including a television drama/comedy, We're Merely Players, and a Christmas family screenplay, Black Peter.
Chris often writes in partnership with his screenwriting partner Mark Beynon and along with their calling card script, a comedy entitled Bitter Sweet, and their television adaptation of Martin Stephen's The Conscience of the King, Chris and Mark now have an impressive catalogue of writing that spans several genres.
In 2007 Chris completed a television pilot entitled Twenty Something; The Quarter Life Crisis Of Jack Lancaster (based on the book by Iain Hollingshead).
In 2008 Chris & Mark directed the short Film 'The Beachcombers' which was funded by Film London via The Lewisham Film Initiative. The romantic short starred Charity Wakefield and Rasmus Hardiker. As well as screening at festivals worldwide the film has gone on to be nominated for ITV's 'Best Of Borough award'.
