Vernon Christopher Carter (born December 18, 1986 in Redwood City, California) is a minor league baseball player who plays first base and the outfield in the Oakland Athletics system. Acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks on December 03, 2007 from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for outfielder Carlos Quentin, he was then traded on December 14, 2007 to the A's as part of a package for pitcher Dan Haren.
