Chris Carrawell (born November 25, 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American professional basketball player who was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2nd round (41st overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft and was subsequently waived on October 26, 2000. Carrawell attended high school at Cardinal Ritter College Prep, where he teamed with former NBA players Jahidi White and Loren Woods. A 6'6" guard-forward from Duke University, Carrawell has yet to play in the NBA despite being named ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Year during his senior year in college. He spent one day of the 2000 preseason with the Atlanta Hawks, but was waived before the regular season started.
Carrawell has played professionally overseas in countries such as Italy (with Media Broker Messina, Serie A2, 2000-2001), Lithuania (with Žalgiris Kaunas in 2002-2003 season), The Philippines and Australia. In March 2006, Carrawell was named American Basketball Association Player of the Year as a member of the Rochester Razorsharks.
In the 2006-07 season he played for the Matrixx Magixx in Nijmegen in the Netherlands. On November 25th he recorded a triple-double, against Rotterdam Basketball, a rare feat in the Dutch top-league. It consisted of 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He was 3rd on the team in scoring (15.6), 3rd in rebounds (6.1) on the team and 3rd in assists(3.9) on the team.
He won the 2006-07 national cup with The Matrixx Magixx against the Hanzevast Capitals from Groningen on the 25th of March 2007.
