Chris Brosnan (born October 6, 1972) is the son of actress Cassandra Harris and Dermot Harris (the younger brother of actor Richard Harris), and the adopted son of former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan. His half brother, actor Aaron Harris, stars as Detective Sargent Myles Byrne in Irish TV series Fair City.
Chris is credited as an additional assistant director for two of Brosnan's pictures (The World Is Not Enough, 1999 and Tomorrow Never Dies, 1997), but it most notable for a stint on the British, Fiji based reality show Love Island.
[edit] Love Island
While on Love Island, Chris started to develop a relationship with Victoria Hervey. She was subsequently evicted from the island on 21 July 2006. After Shane Lynch walked from the island, model Sophie Anderton turned her attention to Brosnan for a few days, but stopped when Brosnan told her that he felt uncomfortable with all the attention she was giving him. Brosnan then turned his attention to Colleen Shannon, and the two of them grew close before Shannon was evicted from Love Island on August 20, 2006. During a trip out on a boat with the other male contestants after Shannon's eviction, Brosnan kissed a couple of girls who were accompanying them on the trip, much to Shannon's annoyance, as was revealed to him a few days later by the series' producers. Brosnan also appeared to be growing close to Kelle Bryan before he was evicted.
Chris himself was evicted from the show on August 27, 2006. Chris appeared on the Podge and Rodge show on the 13 November 2006.He had stood them up the week before due to the scandal surrounding him at the time.He got a "slagging" due to this fact.He was asked how can he consider himself a celebrity,to which he replied:"Then why am I on this show?"
