Chris Bennett (born Christine Bennett on August 2, 1948) is a Grammy-nominated singer, dancer, songwriter and Jazz performer. She has collaborated with various artists including Tina Turner, The Manhattan Transfer, Keb Mo, The Three Degrees, and Donna Summer.
Bennett was born in Marshall, Illinois. She married Wolf Roth and graduated from the University of Illinois (where she was a Kappa Alpha Theta sorority member) with honors in music and dance.
Bennett's Grammy nomination was for The Theme from Midnight Express, her contribution to the Midnight Express movie soundtrack.
