Category talk:Christian events

This category doesn't seem to be part of the category web—it doesn't appear in any other categories. I would fix that, but it seems to me that this category may well be totally redundant. Certainly many of the articles that have been added to it seem to fit better elsewhere.--Srleffler 23:44, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

It started as a much-needed category for Christian events such as the Harvest Crusades, Spirit West Coast, Dove Awards, and the Creation Festival. However, it quickly evolved into a more inclusive category that allowed all types of Christian events. Suggestions are appreciated.--Jason Gastrich 23:49, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
I see. It makes sense to have a category for those types of events. I tend to think the category system works better when categories have a fairly narrowly-focused purpose. I see specific events like the ones you mentioned as a different kind of thing from articles like Eucharist, Easter, Pentecost, sermon, etc. Perhaps we should remove those from the category. We also need to place this category at an appropriate point in the overall category "web": we need to figure out which Christianity-related category it fits in. I don't have time to do that now but can look into it later if you don't know where to put it.--Srleffler 01:08, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
