It's difficult to cite this article, I discovered the technique in a link on a guitar forum that was in another language which had the letter T to represent a whole tone higher than A (B) if i remember correctly and the letter B represented a different note. Also the site if i remember correctly only gave the patterns for maj min and maj7th chords. I then made another chord building grid using the western convention of note names and studied it. I saw the circle of fifths then saw the major and minor 3rd harmonies, then using music theory I derived the rest of the harmonies. Finally I looked up various chords and the notes they contain and it was consistent with the grid. So that makes it difficult to cite. The best way I see to cite the source is to instead write a "proof" for the grid. I honestly think that it isnt necessary to do that, however it others think that it is post it and i might or someone else might do it (also post if you think that it isnt necessary). If you're going to write a "proof" I would start with just the circle of fifths and say if note X is a fifth higher than note Y and V is a third higher than X and U is a third higher than Y then U is a third higher than V. That would establish that if down and to the left is a third then for all the notes diagonally NW to SE will have a third down and to the left. You'd have to do that for a minor third too, then using music theory show that if you go up a fifth then go up a third you have in total gone up a seventh, or with respect to the grid if you go down and to the right then go down and to the left you get a seventh, once you do that for all the harmonies come the most difficult task which is to make it understandible if someone other than you is reading it.T prev 22:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

The banner at the top about the article had a link to BRD; which i read. So I'm boldly removing the no citation benner in light of no responses to my rationale for citatoin to be impossible. T prev 22:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
