Talk:Choke point

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[[I'm not sure how Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope can be considered choke points, especially the latter. The Drake Passage between Cape Horn and Antarctica is almost 1 000 km wide - hardly a narrow strait like Gibraltar or Malacca. From the Cape of Good Hope the Atlantic and Southern Oceans stretch for over 3 500km south to Antarctica. Booshank 20:57, 15 August 2007 (UTC)]]

what is a chokepoint

Oresund is the second most trafficked strait in the world I have heard and I would describe the boat traffic in this narrow passage as a bottleneck. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.208.231.197 (talk) 10:39, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
